And here's me believing the stories they tell of not needing an ECC until they have been here 6 months. Does time in the womb count?
I went to Duma BI last Tuesday the 13th, did 6 month extension, they said come back Monday the 19th for my passport and 3 weeks for my new ACR card. Here was the fees.
I know a conman living in Dumaguete that wouldn't hesitate for a second to run scams/fake businesses under an infants name. Wouldn't put it past a whole lot of other expats living in the Philippines either. Probably best expat's children get ran through the system to make sure their aren't any cases against them. Playing devil's advocate a bit here but such things have happened. No abortion in the Philippines. Life begins at conception. It is only logical that immigration fees should as well.
Or use their partner only as a means to an end... (I suppose why not when often it is a two way street...) Beware he who wants you to invest in his great new venture (after all the others have failed lol) They walk among us, that is for sure!
If you have a 13A you do not need an exit clearance. That's why people go to the trouble of getting one.
I was told by the Immigration Officer at Cebu BOI when I went back to gain approval for my 13a that I NEEDED to go back to their Office to obtain an ECC if I wished to leave the country.
No you dont brian,if youre on a 13a you just pay at the airport. You pay the same as a local does to get out on this visa.
Okay must have had a Brain Fart, I remember when I went back to gain my approval for my 13a, the Officer told me I could not leave the country (forget the reason/time frame now) otherwise I would have to reapply for the 13a, and if I did wish to leave, I would have to go back to the Cebu BOI, and if I wished to leave I needed to obtain an ECC before leaving. Maybe that info was in regards to leaving before I received my ACR card? Really cannot remember.
The link should clear it up for anyone with doubts. Tourists can get ECC at airport if they are here minimum 6 months up to 1 year. Married Visa folk can always get it at the airport. But read the link and tell me if I am wrong
