    Sent them a message on Facebook, responded in about 15 minutes. For those wanting a whole house backup, their smallest system is 24v 2.4 kw. (much bigger than what I am looking for)

    Deep cycle batteries do not use the same type of charger as a car battery . I just mention this so you don't cause yourself any grief. You might want to Google battery charger types.
    I like to keep things simple and offer a suggestion.
    Get a deep cycle charger, your big battery and an inverter.
    Just run the TV, WiFi and computer on the system full-time.

    Sealed deep cycle battery search. Handyman downtown 12v 100Ah p10,000 and 12v 200Ah p20,000. According to others in different area of the Philippines a 200Ah battery should be closer to p14,000.

    Other stores searched Solar Power Co, Polaris, Bernardo's Electronics, DG Tech, Uymatiao Trading, Ace Logic, Motolite - A couple of these do carry batteries but the biggest 12v is 24Ah (Solar Power Co uses 24v system).

    That was my entire search list, don't like the idea of paying such a premium to Handyman. Any other ideas?

    I was going to suggest going online as well....until I went and checked several websites. Very annoying that companies will list their products online but not list a price to go with them. I will NEVER call to get a quote on an item that should have a set retail price. Many of the other websites were "out of stock, sir". Ridiculous. I got annoyed and stopped looking after a couple minutes.

    OLX was the only one that had batteries listed as in stock with prices...though I'm not sure how much I trust that site.

    The trustworthiness of OLX, real or imagined, is one reason why I had not looked there already. Although by the time I find one locally, I could have had one shipped. If real, OLX has several I am going to message today regarding shipping as the prices look reasonable (10-12k vs Robinsons 20k and Lazadas 16k delivered).

    Except for the one listed at 9,000 that I did not reference, the prices seem reasonable for Manila. Add a couple thousand for shipping and close enough to the Lazada price not to be 'too good to be true'

    Is there a particular reason you don't buy a small generator ?
    I saw a nice Promate 3,000 watt the other day at Polaris and I think it was only P19,000. That's cheap. It would run your computer, fans, lights, and even probably your ref. Our ref is an average size and it only draws a maximum of 275 watts when the auto defrost is running. The price was a little blurred but I think that is how it read.
