It really makes me wonder if the politicians who dream up these rediculous laws think the bad guys using bike for killings, holdups etc etc actually have plates and licences/papers? Mabe a few can drop by negros for a few weeks and leave their rose tinted glasses in manila.
Yeah even I began to sense that the further into my reply I got! *snork snork snork* Maybe one of the relatives of the guy in charge has already tooled up to produce the necessary brackets to attach said plates to the front Guard and is waiting for his approval via his contacts in Office... On a side thought; weren't the pictured front Guard mounted Number Plates banned in other countries due to the injuries they can cause if you were to hit a Pedestrian? I am SURE that is WHY They went to the flat plate (like in Oz) mounted to the front like is more common nowadays... THIS: VERSUS THIS: (Australian Bike) OR: (Asian Market)
The only reason they are unanimous, is because of all the prosecutors, that have been assassinated lately via motor cycle drive_bys in traffic. They are worried they are next on the list.
I will not be drilling holes or putting large ugly stickers on/through any of my bikes to accommodate their ignorance. I'll just stop registering my bikes and paying for plates that I'll never get.......oh wait, I've already stopped doing that. So, erm....whatever, this new law makes no difference to me.
In two weeks time I have my bike for a year, still no plate... Whatever they dream up in their world, it'll take ages until it arrives in ours. And this is a good thing
It took exactly 12 months before the Dealer issued our Plates upon the renewal of the Registration, maybe that is the LTO's way of ensuring the Buyer actually pays/renews their Registration on time...
You are right. It means even if we ride our bike through town without clothes on. They can't do anything cos there's no number to report us. I'm afraid if I did do that, they would be able to identify me by the small p*nis. Haha
I wonder, in the future, what would happen to you if you never received your traffic fine in the mail causing you to miss the payment of fine, then missed court appearence, etc; loss of license? 3 months in jail? deportation? I duno, does the PI issue bench warrants for failure to appear.....like they do in the USA. Just curious.....not paranoid.
I would say that anything is possible. Ask yourself; how many rules/laws that you read about (anywhere) caused your jaw to drop? Sometimes fantasy becomes reality. Oh, it's time to fill my shot glass with Victory Gin and sit in the corner out of view of the Telescreen. No sarcasm intended.
