I am thinking about "getting snipped" and was wondering if anyone in the dumaguete area has had this procedure of getting a vasectomy done and what their experiences were. I would also be open to any referrals of Dr's that offer this service. Before being "snipped" however I would like to save a sample of my live and healthy sperm. Does anyone know if there is a clinic or sperm bank that freezes and stores sperm in this area or I probably would have to visit Manila/Cebu for that I would think.

    Thanks

I have space in my freezer next to the frozen fish. Might be an issue if there is a lengthy brownout.
My father-in-law circumsized his three boys and two nephews in the mountains and can perform the snipping. Small fee negotiable.

And have you considered, before making this offer, what you are going to do with all those pregnant fish? THINK before you OFFER.

I do realise how very important this is to you and would give any information if I had it. But my joke was with someone regarding the proximity of their fish and the seminal fluid. I make light of most things, even death, so my apologies if it seems insensitive to you.

I was not insensitive to it nor was I even slightly offended. I found the replies quite hilarious actually. On a serious level though I was just curious if to someone here has actually had to go through the procedure. Thanks for the reply though. what a nice guy:thumbsup:

If you can afford it, I think most folks would suggest getting the clip at St. Luke's or Chung Hua.
I am glad my humor did not offend you. Good luck.

I shoot blanks! I don't want to put you off, but mine was, er, "atypical". As a doc you tend to get the worst care and the novice GP trying to specialise at the local hosp got a little lost on yours truly, his guinea pig.

Anyway most vasecs are straightforward, minimal pain (think bee sting) procedures over in 20-30 mins with a lovely Nurse to hold your hand the way through. Never looked back after mine, guilt and hassle free. No impact on performance or any other function you can think of. Just remember to report back for the slightly shameful infertility test aka the patient-who-has-just-made-salsa-into-the-testtube and just HAS to come back next week for the results. Did mine in India (um, I was in India folks, not even the mighty C can shoot with accurate aim into a test-tube from Siquijor) and apart from the operative anomaly all is still currently well.

Some folks report minor discomfort from little swimmers that block up and have no-where to go up the severed/tied pipe, but this lingers not long. In colder climes it can be a problem, but here, well I would argue that it shouldn't be a problem. In short, go do my friends.

As to crypto tech' I would defer to fellows better qualified than me. Your med tourism bods would know...as mentioned here before, I swear by India, and in particular the good state of Kerala for most stuff dental, visual, and well, yes, the old waterworks-baby machine areas. Fly into Singapore and take an Air India baby down to Cochi or Trivandrum...best hospitals I've seen in the East.

    Cheers.

    C

I asked a doctor at Silly Man about getting the procedure done but she refused because I didn't have kids and was too young. So if you plan on doing it in the Philippines be sure to lie and tell them you already have 10 kids and you are 50 years old.
