Just making sure everyone sees this announcement. Hope my battery gets here this week.

Ditto But unlikely. Murphy's law ya know. Your battery shall come the day AFTER the big brownout.

Just heard brownout changed to Saturday. Can anyone confirm?

Noreco Facebook ok confirms Saturday

Update on NGCP Power Interruption:
Please be informed that the shutdown will be moved earlier to August 5, 2017 Saturday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM to give consideration to the urgent request just received from Civil Service Commission who will conduct province-wide examination on Sunday.

Advisory from: National Grid Corporation of the Phils. (NGCP)
Date : Saturday, August 5, 2017
Time : 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Areas Affected:
Part of Tandayag, Amlan. Entire area of San Jose, Sibulan, Dumaguete City, Valencia, Bacong, Dauin, Zamboanguita and Siaton.

(Our Pulantubig, Bagacay, Dauin and Siaton substations will be affected)

Reasons:
This is a rescheduling of the power service interruption which was cancelled last July 23. NGCP will de-energize its Amlan-Siaton 69kV transmission line to conduct the following activities:
1. Replacement of corroded insulators at Amlan - Bacong and Bacong - Siaton 69kV transmission line.
2. Replacement of pole and rotten cross-arm along Amlan - Bacong 69kV transmission line.
