For those less fortunate, could they leave their big woman by the door? (or maybe she is pregnant?) Not always the case, you pick the wrong time and it is every checkout 10 customers deep madhouse (though not usually).
Well I hope they never get like the big supermarkets back in Oz where at best they usually have 4 of the dozen or so check outs open to handle the rush hour crowds At least here you have all hands on deck, as well as the bag boys to pack for you, then the guy at the door to load your groceries after hailing a tricycle for you, all with a smile!
I quickly learned not to buy candy bars in singles, the bag boys have to cut the security tabs off with craft knifes
I have never seen the security tabs on the candy we have bought (not even the Toblerone) only Powdered Milk/ Milo and Toiletries and other more expensive items. In saying that, the boys have always been very quick and efficient with those box cutters, I keep waiting for the blood, but to date they have all proven me wrong! lol The Wife really wants to go and check out the new Mall, but everything I am reading here, I really think I will like it as much as Lee's in the City (I HATE HATE HATE IT!)
Spot on brian, why get stressed with the parking and crap in the city when you can go hyper get your stuff and go and have a coffee while the mrs pays
Drop the wife at your favourite bar, tell her to take a tricycle to the new mall and settle down for a few beers.
LOL. I heard in another forum that the main entry front glass door is shattered into pieces. Is that true?
Waited a week after the opening to try City Mall. I live in Valencia, so the traffic is vaguely the same for me no matter where I shop. Except for Lee Plaza, which is really my go-to preference for their larger choice in everything but food and hardware. But City Mall offerings seem meager by comparison even with Robinson Place. It didn't seem like Ace Hardware had anything more than Handyman; they just spread it out in a much larger space with aisles that are actually wide enough for two people to pass. City Mall food court is a major disappointment for me. All in all, little reason to visit City Mall again...at least until the grocery and theater open.
Thanks for the info. I have been here since before Cang's opened and I have been in there just one time. I'll give City Mall a pass.
