Does the Dumaguete office process exit clearances now or it is still necessary to go to Cebu?

Or the international airport of departure in the Phils, depending how long you stayed here. There are recent postings about this topic.

Do not count on getting an exit clearance at the airport. Trust me it does not work that way anymore. I went to Cebu and it only took 3 hours total. Don't bother asking at the Immigration office hear because they do not have all the answers!

And yet, anyone I personally know who has been in Philippines on a tourist visa from 6 to 12 months WITH the ACR card that has the SRN number on it was able to get the ECC at either Mactan or NAIA so why should I trust you? What are the circumstances that would cause you to ask people to trust you?

This d*mn ECC topic. Always changing, different experiences for different people. Some know for a fact that you can get it at the airport (and they did actually get it at the airport). Some know for a fact that you can't get one at the airport (and they probably didn't get one and missed a flight because of it). :banghead2:

Personally, if I had time I would get it in Cebu or Manila main branch before going to the airport just to be safe.

This kind of statement adds to the confusion because it lacks facts. What visa are you on, how long have you been in the Phils this trip, did you try at the airport, what month did this happen?

example: I left for Hong Kong from NAIA in December 2016, had been in the Phils for 11 months on a visitor visa, presented my passport with slip of paper attached with my ACR number on it. A few hundred pesos and 3 minutes later I was done. Easy peasy.

@AlwaysRt I am on a visitor visa. A few years ago I tried leaving Manila for Texas. I did not have my photo on my exit clearance. I MISSED MY FKN FLIGHT! They would not help me out at all! Did they change all of this Bshit....who knows? All I know is I was told to go to Cebu or Manila for an Exit Clearance. If you chose not to believe me or the process I experienced that's up to you. Maybe you should do a little leg work and find out for yourself and call your consulate. Then post here what you found out!!!
