lol The women in Indochina are just as friendly to expats as Filipina are...and I would argue that they are more "talented" than the average Filipina. However, taking a filipina to a foreign Asian country is quite amusing. Nothing more entertaining than watching Asians be racist to a filipina (after they first trying to talk to them in the local language) and hear them say how unfair it is they are treated differently and get different prices....then you see that light bulb light up when they realize they do the same thing and us in their country and you get to say "Yeah, sucks doesn't it?" Mine even referred to me as a foreigner while in Cambodia and forgot the lesson once in Vietnam. "Remember where you are. Who are you calling a foreigner?"
Be careful calling South East Asia by that name or the Chinese will say: AHA: "All your base are belong to us"
LOL Just read a very heated debate on another expat forum where two went head to head over that one, to one China is a super power who can win wars and kicked @ss in Vietnam and to the other... Well after a lot of name calling, it was amusing for a while... hehe
I guess it depends on which version of history you believe. China invaded Vietnam because Vietnam invaded Cambodia to get rid of China friendly Pol Pot and China said they pulled out of Vietnam because they proved their point (a middle finger to Russia). Vietnam says they repelled the Chinese out of their country....without mentioning anything about Russia helping them. (Vietnam's versions of their war history tends to be a bit "creative" from what I read while there.) The truth is likely somewhere in between.
