The gauge filled up at 6" (probably lost an inch), emptied at 8am, and now at .9" (10:45am):

PAGASA: <<While Severe Tropical Storm Paolo (Lan) is not expected to hit land, its spiral bands are still affecting parts of the country.

In a briefing past 5 pm on Tuesday, October 17, state weather bureau PAGASA said Paolo is already 655 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar. It is moving north northeast at a slightly faster 10 kilometers per hour (km/h) from the previous 7 km/h, though its speed remains slow.

The severe tropical storm maintained its strength, with maximum winds of 90 km/h and gustiness of up to 115 km/h.

PAGASA said Paolo could strengthen into a typhoon within 24 hours, or by Wednesday afternoon, October 18.

Due to Paolo's spiral bands, light to heavy rain is expected in Bicol, the Visayas, and Mindanao. These areas should watch out for possible floods and landslides. >>

I know a few members will be pissed with this comment but im only stating facts. They have had plenty of time to sort their sh*t out now.

Why can't they keep the hillsides from sliding down onto the roads. Why can't they keep the the bridges from washing out. Why can't they keep the roads from flooding. And last but not least; why can't they keep the power poles from washing away in the floods.

Who was it that made that comment earlier about making excuses for people....something about being "obtuse" maybe? Hmm......
    :sneaky:

I mean....it's not like this happens at least once every year or two. You'd think there might be a solution to this pesky "mother nature" issue that washes away the power lines every time it rains hard. I'm no engineer...but I suspect there is a way. :whistling:

Its gone up 10.4% this month. Shall I copy that link for you also? May as well, others may want to see it. But on the bright side. We get a discount of almost 5 pesos for paying before the due date :roflmao:

Anyway, if its been going on for years, as you say, why keep bitching about something you cannot change. Well you could if you wanted to take the responsibility into your own hands and get a generator or a solar back up or similar.
