I always thought history was a collection of facts.
If you go around Cambodia there are no monuments to Pol Pot, he's hardly mentioned anywhere. At the killing fields in Siemreap his name and the Khomer Rouge only get honorable mention. I spoke to an Aussie curator at a war museum; he said Pol Pot was put in place to rid the country of "all those pesky intellectuals aka trouble makers" the plan was to leave only the happy workers alive to be slaves for the Chinese.
It seems China still has a lot of quiet influence in Cambodia and I was advised not to be critical or even ask about China.
In Vietnam it was the "American War" with some assistance from a bunch of "up-starts" from South Vietnam. Saigon ended up being called Ho Chi Min City so I'm not so sure China ever left Vietnam.
Just my limited opinion.
I know in Canada we were never taught how us white guys got all the land from the natives. The actual story is not a stellar point in our history. I really doubt anything we were taught in school. Well none of it except the part where we burned your White House in the War of 1812. Yeah, I like that part. LOL

 

I was. I was taught that all the first nations signed treaties with the crown. It seems that the descendants of those who signed the treaties say that the crown screwed them and they should have got more so they want it now. Oh well, can you imagine the Russians saying they want Alaska back because the Americans got it too cheap back in the day?

 

Basically 'he' said China was a super power and had won many wars unlike the US and then 'him' said BS and quoted how China sent 250,000 Chinese to Vietnam, who promptly kicked their butts all the way back to China then 'he' threw a tantrum and started calling 'him' names so 'he' took his bat and ball and went home telling 'him' what 'he' thought of 'him' in his parting shot! Well something along those lines

Sorry I forgot u is From da US In the UK it is considered Bad to say Damned (d*mn), so we use the word Drated Yes those drated Fruit Flies

 

I'm from the US and we spell "drat" with one "t" and "dratted" with two. Is that spelling another misuse of the alphabet to give the language "colour"? You will notice that "colour" brings up the red underline for a mispelled word. No offense, just asking a valid question.

If I use the Spell check it kept going to Drafted so I gave up and left it at (One t ) I guess I am just a lazy tw@t at times
