Just some information for you guy’s about to apply for your 1st 2 month tourist visa extension. I went to the BI in Dumaguete just a block or so away from the holy child hospital. Very efficient, in and out in about 15 minutes. The only down side is it looks like the price has gone up. Now 6500 pesos and that’s without the ACR card fee.
I know the bi are harsh at times but p6,500 without the acr card for a 2 month extension. Im pretty sure this would be all over lots of different forums now if it was correct.
This is what they charged me and I did query it. Oh, and it was a double wamy as my partner needed her 2 month visa extension as well. When I looked at the BI website cost charts before going there I was led to believe the cost would 4900 each with the acr included. I had the foresight to take extra cash as I am aware anything can happen here.
If this the new rates for tourist visas im sure this will discourage alot of long term tourists/expats from coming here. They are always trying to promote the ph but again looks like they are going backwards again.
If it was first extension, after being out of the country,I think they charge for the first 29 days as well, so you are really paying for 3 months....
Although I have no problem with the locals or general population, I am not so sure that the powers that be want us here beyond a thirty day vacation anyway.
While NOT my first extension, I did get a 2 month extension today. Extension only as my ACR card is good until June next year. Cost was p1,930
