    Brendan may well have but I would still be curious as to why USEXPAT paid 4480 and I paid 5750 as I know I was not late and according to what he said we got identical service. 2 month extension and ACR I card renewal. Mine on Dec 6 and his two weeks prior. I will post a copy of my receipt when I get it.

    My 59 days will not be up until the 28 th or 29 th this month, I thought it prudent to get to the BI early so I would not incur any late fees , especially with the xmas holidays coming up.

    I thought you only got 29 days on the initial stay.

    You get 30 days free then pay for a 29 day Visa waiver, then after that come your extensions, Some come in on a 59 day visa that they obtained at Home, paid for of course :thumbsup:

    Is the 29 day waiver paid for at the point of entry? If so, is a 59 day stamp then placed in the passport?

    No, 30 days free but before that expires if one needs an extension jog along to the local BI and get a 29 day extension, that my friend is the 59 days. Any more than that you need a tourist ACR card with an extension.

    Yes you are correct, 29 days waiver on entry to the country followed by another 30 days on paying a fee giving the total of 59 days.

    Then the 2 month cycle starts as does the requirement for an acr card and this is what I am paying the P6500 for.

    Not going to split hairs but it is the other way round;

    Visas
    You can enter the Philippines without a visa for an initial period of 30 days. You can also get a tourist visa from the Philippine Embassy before you travel, which will allow an initial 59 day stay.

    Ok. Just wanted to make sure you knew to extend after 29 (or 30 days) and that the price you are quoting here didn't include some late fees. P6500 seems quite high for the first 2 month extension, even if including the card. I don't recall paying that much on any extension but I could be wrong. I do keep all my receipts. If I remember to look when I get back I'll post them here.

    Now since Brendan had no late charge it is even more interesting. What appears to be the same service from the same office but three different prices. Ordinarily I would say that was impossible but we are not in an ordinary place. I too will post my receipt when I get it.
