Lto and new plates

You may end up an “Unhappy Camper”. I bought my wife a new Honda Beat 5 years ago from Du Ek Sam. Two years after purchase, I received the tags. Still haven’t received the plates. Last we checked with them, they said LTO was very overloaded so they ordered the plates from LTO Bais! I haven’t been able to travel to Bais to talk to LTO there. Maybe I will make that my New Years resolution.

 

I thought I had to wait a long ridiculous time of 2 years before getting the final plate for my Honda Scoopy bought in 2014 from Duek Sam. But you still defeat me Pato....!!

Checked today, no registration yet, will check again next month. But what happens if I want to move to another province before I get my registration? Anyone been through that?

 

You are not meant to move in a different province at all. They want you to stay and suffer with them.

 

When we bought the Wife's Yamaha MIO Scooter here in Dumaguete we were told a few months for the Plates. Asked each month, no go... Almost a year later we were told she would receive the Plates when she paid the Registration renewal. Sure enough, paid the Smoke Test took it in and viola! Number Plates were handed over by the Yamaha Dealer!

 

I could care less about the plates, I just want the registration. I could always have a temporary plate made.

 

You can actually have plates made in the private sector? Would you know who can do that in DGTE? My first question was supposed to be is it legal? Just received the oc/or at the dealership.

There are many places around town that will produce temporary plates for you. They usually have a selection of plates hanging on the wall outside. Cost about P500 for a motorbike plate. When you received the OC/CR you should also have received a paper with a temporary registration number.
