A friend of mine likes the service very much. He has successfully used them 4 times in the last year and a half. Personally I still prefer the Expedia and cancel within 24 hours method, I don't really care that a couple hundred USD is tied up on my credit card for a couple days. I don't use it for anything much anyway, certainly don't keep it nearly maxed out.

This is very common. I saw a Philippines hotel on a booking site with 5 reviews. It scored 10 out of 10. The 5 reviewers were Filipino, whereas other nearby hotels mostly had reviews from ALIENS. Does not take much to get that done .... even I have about 5 friends (or maybe a bit less than 5  ) ... and, possibly, people might just do things for money!

This was posted on the Bi fb page yesterday. Hopefully it will resolve the wait on collection of passports and wait times for Ecc in cebu.

This is why I used the Travel Agent next door to the Dumaguete BOI to do everything on my behalf. I only needed to attend my Interview in Cebu for the Probationary 13a and then again when I was approved. The Agent's handler did all of the paperwork and running around for me, I only needed to sign where necessary and once all was done, the handler picked up my Card and Passport from Cebu BOI and sent them to the Travel Agent who informed me to come and pick them up. I never once checked online etc as the Travel Agent kept me up to date on every step of the way. Talk about hassle free...

And when reading those reviews have you noticed that the majority of scathing complaints were from Filipino's versus the better ratings from foreigners? Expectations here vary greatly between that of the locals expecting to be pampered like Queens and Princes and that of the tourists from abroad who are only looking for somewhere comfy to throw their head at the end of a long day sight seeing...

If your name appears in the Agenda-List on the Hompage of the Immi-Manila, it takes up to 4 weeks until the documents will arrive in the Immi-Cebu, this is the management of the Immi-Manila and then it will take again 1 month until the ACR-I-card will arrive.

I heard, that many Koreans complained about the fact, that you cannot get the Exist-Clearance at the Airport, so it is said, that they changed it to the previous state, that you can get it at the airport, but this information bases on "hearing and saying", I cannot prove it. Who has experience with this?

Hi AlwaysRt, can you please explain to me in clear English and very simply, what the topic is about onward ticket and / or outbound ticket. What it means and on what rule it is based and why and when it is needed ? Thanks in advance !

If you fly into the Philippines as a tourist you must be able to show you have a ticket leaving the country. It is needed when you first fly into the country. Why? Well, if you only have a one way ticket then it doesn't really look like you are there to be a "tourist" (a temporary visitor). Most countries I have been to require a return or onward ticket for tourists. It is not only the Philippines. As far as which rule this falls under....immigration rule. Check their website.

It has always been a requirement as long as I can remember.....but immigration does not always ask for proof of an onward ticket. This is standard practice all around the world. Immigration in most countries do not always ask for every single requirement the law prescribes. If someone comes without one they have no one to blame but themselves.
