I am a traveling author who will be arriving in Dumaguete in mid-January with the intention to stay at least a few months. I don't need much in the way of accommodation, except that it be relatively quiet, conveniently located, and have reliable internet access (since I work online). I spend most of my time at home and am very respectful of my environment. I would also like to minimize my budget, at least to start. This will be my 2nd time in the Philippines (and about my 50th country overall).

We would have to know your current budget to know what this means.

That shouldn't be all that hard to find if that is what you are looking to spend on rent. Best way to find cheaper places is still to go looking in person. Anything posted online in English has the long nose tax already applied.
