    Very true but the Airline will on Departure ( as is my experience) Without, they should not let you Board
    It happened to me only Once and that was because I had a split ticket ie; 2 pages and the Airline was just not accepting page 2 as the Onward (Return bit) After that I always made sure that Both Trips were on the same page. On that occasion I had to go find an onward Ticket out of the PI

    The airline has not always asked me for an onward ticket. Depends on who is at the counter and how well they read the small print on travel requirements to that country.

    I would have an issue with any idiot that would not accept an itinerary printed on a second page (if that's what you are talking about). I buy direct from airlines and they are almost always on different pages. I would have to call over a manager if the idiot at the desk did not understand that different legs of a flight can be on separate pages.

    As per, night Flight and No management, Spanish Check in on an Aer Lingus Flight and as I began to argue Guardia Civil turn up and start their thing, only 1 hour to Boarding so off I go to an all night ticket counter to get the onward.
    If you have ever come across the men in green, they shoot First and ask after. NAH! survival is the key word :cigar:

    Hello Wrye83, this was a really clear and understandable explanation. Thank you again ! But I think, if I (I am a permanent resident of the Philippines because of marriage) would like to go temporarily go to Germany and I would not know how long I would like to stay there and so would have NO Return-Ticket and buy later a flight-Ticket to the Philippines, I think I do not need an "Return-Back-to-Germany-Ticket" because I am a permanent resident of the Philippines. Do you also think so? Thanks.

    Yesterday I got this information of Cebu-BOI: All visa holders are required to pay exit clearance at the airport, only payment, no more getting papers in BOIs.

    But tourists, who stay in the Philippines for 6 months or more must get Exit-Clearance-Papers in Cebu-BOI or Manila-BOI.

    Just goes to show ya. I can quote you what BI Manila told me via Facebook and they said tourists from 6 months to a year can still get it at the airport. They really gotta make up their minds.

    As a permanent resident of the Philippines you do not have to worry about the return ticket out of the Philippines. You just have to be able to prove your resident status when checking in.

    Hi Dave, you cannot trust them, it seems, that they do not know their own complicated rules. As far as I understood, can the tourists NOT do it at the airport. But I cannot assure it. I heard from my friend, that a friend of him some months ago wanted to claim the exit-clearance at the airport and they did not deliver it. His Airplane would start soon. So he got angry and loud voice, I do not know, if he cursed them loudly. Finally they let him depart, but when he wanted to reenter the Philippines after some weeks, he could not enter any more, he was noticed as a black sheep in the computer-system of the Immi. This is tragic for him, because he has house and girlfriend here. So it seems to be the best to call the Immi itself at the airport and ask about the different treatments of tourists, Retirement-Visa-holders and 13A-permanent Visa.
