Has anyone sent a FAX to an U.S.A. Number either using their FAX machine or at a Dumaguete store? Got to send a FAX and can’t get our FAX machine on our printer to work.

Too long a story about faxing but all true. Back in the dark ages I had a business and had distributors for customers up to 500 miles away that all placed stock orders on a schedule for our truck delivery. Many of the customers wanted me to get a fax so that I could receive orders by fax, for convenience and accuracy, rather than have them call in the order . Most orders involved a lot of lines of part numbers. I wanted a fax that could "broadcast" to my customers so I could send reminders or changes in schedules, whatever. A fax that would broadcast back then was $1,000.00 but I figured it would be worth it as I could put one message in the fax and send it to up to 100 customers at once. A regular fax machine I think was about $200.00 at the time. I actually only had about 40 that had faxes as it was still sort of new technology. $1,000.00 and broadcast, or $200.00 and cannot broadcast? I gritted my teeth and paid the 1,000.00 and then paid AT&T $450.00 for installation and some kind of exorbitant monthly fee for a dedicated toll free fax line. I then told the office girls to call and get the fax numbers of the customers that wanted the service. They gave me the list and without exception EVERY CUSTOMER said they did not have a dedicated line and we had to call them first so they could switch their telephone line in order for us to send them a fax. My "Broadcasting" money had been a total waste. LOL For you kids out there, back then many had faxes but only one telephone line. If they wanted to send or receive a fax they would unplug the telephone line and plug it into the fax. Therefore if you wanted to send them a fax and they were cheapskates and didn't have a dedicated fax line, you had to call them first so they could change the line to the fax. A telephone line is a wire that comes out of the wall and is connected to the telephone company.
And once you set up your dedicated Fax Line how many Spam Fax's did you get depleting all your Ink so when you finally received a real Fax you had no ink left? I use to wake up to a tray full of BLACK Pages where you could not read 90%+ of the writing. I was so glad the day I shut up shop and disconnected the Fax Line as I worked from home and all through the bloody night I would hear the Fax line ring and calculate how soon I would need to buy another Ink refill... I am still trying to get use to "Telex versus Fax" here. We often use 88th Street Internet Cafe (down from Frozen Throne Internet Cafe) for our online print outs etc, they are well set up and have a good connection, but not 100% sure if they send "Faxes" abroad or not, but well worth a try if you are nearby to them...
I've done similar. And if it's a document that you created on your computer, you don't even have to scan it, you can print it to a pdf then fax using such a service. I formerly used MyFax. They have a free trial but it's probably overkill for you and they most likely ask for a credit card to start the trial.
