    If I was using that I would despise inner spring mattresses too. You said I went "Full Retard", No offense but it looks like you went "Full Ghetto". Plus the fact that you're on a cot. I haven't slept on a cot in 50 years and I still remember it as a bad sleep.

    By the way, I know you get paid, but I still seriously want to thank you and those with you for your service to our country. I knew you were not at a country club.

    Has to be better than one of those fold out type beds that put 3 or 4 raised rails right where your most sensitive bones are positioned. :wideyed:

    I'm actually doing quite well with my own room/office combo, especially for a non-NATO/US Marine operated base. Not even close to full ghetto. Full ghetto is having to sleep on a toilet because the latrine has the only d*mn heater on base that works. (Because Marines used to not believe in having contractor support and wanted to maintain their own life support...which they really suck at. lol)

    I don't remember them being that bad. But then again, I haven't slept on - or even seen - one of those in about 25 years. I think those were replaced by futons, which are significantly more comfortable. Futons would be great for Afghanistan. Think I may order one online. Thanks for the idea.

    If my blood is boiling from some stupid "because Philippines" nonsense I cross my fingers and pray I run into one of these types. (I don't treat the locals like sh*t but I have no problem being belligerent with an *sshole foreigner.)

    "Hey lady part/*sshole/retard! Does it look like they make the rules/requirements? Get your head out of your @ss and stop acting like a complete f*cking tw@t."

    Almost every time they turn from *sshole to timid apologetic little p*ssy when confronted. Then I apologise to the staff for his behavior and mine.

    Gotta be ready to brawl with some of the bigger boys though.

    I've gotten too old to fight but I'm still pretty strong and have great teeth, so I started just getting my hooks on them and biting the first thing I could get in my mouth until it came off. I used to box as a teenager and I can take a lick to my head with a 2x4 so I am usually successful in biting long enough to bite a hole/bite off, something. If someone is biting off your eyebrow, nose, lip, or finger you notice it right away and tend to be distracted by the pain. Of course I started using a less direct approach than you do so I haven't had a physical altercation in many years. You are right though, the more they crow and stick their chest out, the more wimpy they usually are.

    I got in a fight with a biter once (I've only been in two since 2005...and both were in Dumaguete with expats). He tried taking a bite out of my cheek. It got me going from 75% effort to "You mother f*cker! Let's hurry up and get this sh*t over with"% effort in a hurry. I personally wouldn't bite, gouge eyes out or give nut shots unless I thought it was life or death. It's bad form IMO (like kicking a man while he is down) and there are faster and less bloody/permanently damaging ways to go about ending a fight. I just want to hurt their pride a bit, not send them to the hospital or deform them.

    Wait til you get old. Then it's always life or death. There is no such thing as a fair fight and I will do whatever it takes to keep someone from hurting me. Bad form if you say so, if someone attacks me I don't think much about form.

    I know when I fight I will bite their nose off and swallow it if need be just so they will remember me each time they look in the mirror to shave! :biggrin: lol
    I use to fight fair, but found you can get your @ss kicked doing that, so every fight is a win or die fight for me now, Gentleman Rules be damned! :rolleyes:
