Mostly but on some of the Entertainment Channels broadcast they have Subs also. On some of the Movies Channels they actually have English Subs and some are broadcast in dual language.
G'Day Mike, okay just went through for a quick look to see if I could get a gist of what the Channels were so I could list below. I assume they will change as various Shows are broadcast, so I assume it will be a hit & miss experience no doubt if you try to follow my listing explanations as a guide. I will list again below with a rough guide of what I could make the shows out to be, and I noticed a couple which were working before only show a Black screen now and 1 shoes an invalid Code so blows me? EVEN BETTER Mate! You go in and pay one month in advance, then go in each month and pay another month in advance, NO CONTRACT! I often pay 2 months in advance in case we are caught up which happens often, so we have a month's grace. Absolutely NO Contract whatsoever for the TV or ADSL bundle!
That's brilliant news Brian Thinking to use Globe 15 mbps broadband 1,999 a month and Fil Products for cable tv. Thanks again for your help Mike
Check with others around your area mate, here in Maluay, Globe and Smart are totally useless, yet it works to the North, South and West of us (in certain areas) just not here. When I tried using the Pocket WiFi here I could not even open a page online. Here it really depends on location. Either you have it or not at all. I like Fil-Products because it is Cable and not WiFi dependent which when it is cloudy/ raining etc will mess with signal (assuming you will use a Mast/ Tower/ Dish to receive signal and not cable) but in saying that even Fil-Products has drop out problems, thankfully I have Solitaire on the PC to stop me going balmy while waiting for it to reconnect!
The Globe broadband in town will come through the phone line mate as can't get fibre where we are in Bantayan. At 10- 15 Mbps it will have plenty of bandwidth. Let you know once we move in! Cheers
Concerning the contract locks from my understanding they have been banned and all providers must offer packages without a lock-in period. You can still do term contracts that have penalties but I know Globe and PLDT now both have options without a lock in that is the same price however usually has a more expensive install cost. However they may try and avoid telling you about the no lock in options unless pressed hard.
We use the new Fil Products “fiber”, complete with fiber modem/router and traditional cable. The speed is 10 MPs and it holds up (I check). Thus is way more than you need for Netflix and we use it all the time. Not many interruptions while buffering. It is kind of quaint advertising fiber at only 10mps; in other places that would be high speed DSL circa 2000 using twisted pair telephone wire. I think the problem here is that the Philippines backbone is satellite, which sounds cool but in reality is very low bandwidth compared to copper or fiber. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
