First you go to a place where they see if you vision is okay. Pay them a small fee. Then you go to another place to urinate in a small cup. Pay them a small fee also. Then you come back to LTO and sit many hours. No Problem.
Thanks for that Guys, one more question; Here it states; Requirements: Note: If Foreign License is expired, applicant shall undergo written and practical examinations. Procedures: 5. Go to the examination room for the lecture and written exam. 6. After passing the written exam, wait for your name to be called for the practical exam. I am assuming that because I have a valid Australian Open Driver's Licence (for driving both Manual and Automatic Cars) which I wish to convert to a Filipino Licence, I will skip Steps 5 & 6 of the Requirements to sit the Exam and do a Driving Test as a part of this conversion process, is that correct?
One thing of note. When I did mine, they did not make my Philippine license for cars AND motorcycles until I pointed out that my foreign license qualified me for both. Then the clerk said OK and changed it. I have heard of other people having to go back to have their license changed if they want to ride motorycles and also drive cars. This may have changed since I did mine but worth keeping an eye on.
I had to go back. Didn't have motorcycle endorsement on my foreign license. No testing. Just another medical and drug test.
Not a problem for me mate, with my busted leg, I have enough trouble throwing a leg over the missus let alone a flamin' Motorbike! lol Thanks for the replies Guys
You can get both the eye test and urine drug test done next door to the LTO at the back of Robinson’s, just walk in and they will do it there and then. The medical test certificate they give you will last for 15 days. The license conversion is done at the LTO behind the capital building at freedom park. Make sure you have your driving license with a copy of both sides, your passport and a copy of both bio and visa stamp and of cause your ACR card and a copy. It’s an easy process, just time consuming, always best to get to these places early as the LTO can get very busy. Avoid lunch time at all costs. I picked up my application form on a Saturday morning as they are not officially open to punters because it’s overtime ??? but I smiled at the in charge and politely asked her for a license conversion form which she duly gave to me. Good luck
I converted my British Driving licence last year, did my eye, and drug test at Robinsons, note they have a lunch break. Then off to LTO only had a Balikbayan stamp on the passport. Give the girl a nice smile and all was well, 3 hours later came out with the paper licence.
