Utilities & Mobile where to buy a MP3 player

Has anyone see them for sale in Dumaguete?
I checked : Lee Plaza, cd king, octagon, tops & bottom, several "cell shops", unitop.
It seems I have to fall back on Lazada

 

The computer “stall” in City Mall had some small personal ones a couple of weeks ago. Don’t know the quality or if they still have them. Just noticed them as I was browsing whilst waiting!

 

You could use a smartphone if you are desperate.

 

A smart phone? That's this little box everyone is carrying nowadays, mostly in their hand or pocket?
The one what get instant attention when making a sound or movement? The one people fumbling on, staring at or even speak to?
Well, I'm blessed with not having the urge/need to own (the newest) one. My wife has.!.

I've been looking for one also and tried all of the locations you have tried. My preference would be to get an Apple Ipod, but the Apple store at Robinsons told me that they are still produced, but they are not authorized to order them? I will be going back to the states for a visit next month and will pick something up to bring back with me since they seem impossible to find here. You could set up one of those online shipping forwarding services, I've heard that some of them work pretty good and you can get your items ordered from Amazon for example within a few weeks.

Problem solved. I got the audio player on my
e-reader working.

 

I don't quite agree that an iPod is just a smart phone without the phone part. The sound quality from the iPod is far superior to that from a phone, and it has more dedicated audio functions and features for the playback and organization of audio files than the phone has, while for some phones there are apps that will add some of those features, it will still in most cases not supply the hi-res audio that the iPod (or other dedicated players) provides. Plus they have more memory and allow you to listen to music without draining your phone battery.
