    No, that's how region 7 is enforcing the law. But they are only law enforcement, not judges who interpret the law and have the final say.

    Also: "Cimatu then told Mayor Fuertes to keep enforcing the law to protect Panglao island, which is now considered the jewel of Bohol due to its famous white sand beaches and world renowned dive sites."

    They must be blind as they obviously have no idea what "white" sand looks like. Hint: it's not a dark yellow like what Panglao has.

    You are part of the public and have the right to use it, not to monopolize or exercise ownership over it. You can fish there as long as you stay there, just don't leave to use the rest room because I might take your place. An please don't p*ss or sh*t on our beach. :o o: You can't leave your fishing rod, home or pig sty there to reserve the spot for you. I have the same right to that spot as you do. I'm confident you understand how this is supposed to work.

    I have condensed some of you quote to get at the part which interests me. It seems to me that many are saying it is quite clear that people are not allowed to build structures of any kind on the beach, yet the law you quote says people are allowed to stay in the zone long enough to build structures of any kind.

    So what kind of structures can they build? Could it be thats why there are structures built on the beach, because the law says they can? As I read the "clearly written law" :angelic: I could build a bamboo pier out onto the water and put up a tables for my land based restaurant, then leave and let my customers use that pier for recreation like eating the food I sell them or swimming in the ocean off my pier. And I am not making this stuff up. Ask the DENR if that is legal. It looks like this when legally done:

    I have and I've seen whiter beaches at inland lakes in Indiana. More times than not "white sand beaches" in the Philippines are just a marketing ploy to get foreign tourists in. The locals have over-fished most of the coastal areas. White sand beaches are going to fade back to yellow/brown when you do that.

    The real white sand beaches I've been to hurt to look at without sunglasses during midday. That type of sand is more of a powder....and what I would consider a real white sand beach.

    Actually, the white sand is Parrotfish poop. The fish eat the reef/coral and poop it out. :poop:

    Yes, and parrot fish are edible. But parrot fish aren't the only reason for white sand beaches; lots of quarts can also cause it.
