I'm curious what causes some members to put a quote in one post then put their reply in a second post. I see you are using Tapatalk but I also see this from members not using that app. I'm not sure why this is happening. When you quote someone you don't have to hit "Post Reply" before you start typing your reply. Please keep the quote and your reply within the same post. It may seem that they are magically being merged together after you post your reply but that is manually being done by an admin or moderator.

I also have to correct a lot of fudged quote attempts where people end up posting their reply within the quote box. I know why this happens; people start typing before the quoted text has a chance load in the reply box...usually due to a slow internet connection. Please don't start typing until the text your have quoted is showing in the reply box. If it isn't loading your internet connection is not very good. Please reload the page and try to hit the "Reply" button again.

A reply with quoted text should look like this in the reply box:

[QUOTE="a username, post: ####, member: ####"]
The quoted text goes here.
[/QUOTE]
You reply goes here, outside of the two "QUOTE" brackets.

Well frankly I have to figure that one out. I simply added to a previous post and I had no idea I was violating some rule by simply replying. So I will try hard to figure out what I did wrong and suspend any additional posting activity until I can analyze this and figure out what the problem really is.

It really isn't violating any rules since I am almost sure it is being done on accident. I was just curious what was causing it as it happens a lot (not just from you). If it is a software/UI issue then it might be something that can be corrected.

I've had that problem occasionally. It was when the internet connection was poor.
