When I got my 5 year Driver's License at LTO office in Robinson's Mall they said to come back in June for the plastic copy. Anyone know if its available yet?
Realigned to August now but you may get a surprise in that it could be 10 years due to the Rule change and no extra Cost( According to LTO)
The plastic license cards are now in the LTO office, out back of Robinson's, and ready to be filled out. For me, it's been a 15-month wait. I was there today. The lady clerk advised me to return Monday morning, real early, as early as 6 a.m. And no, one cannot send an agent, because a photograph is needed. I'm not sure when I will get it done.
Well then I don't feel so bad about my 1 year wait. But my "appointment to go back" is not until August so it will be 16 months then. Still, I don't really care so long as my almost unreadable slip of paper is good enough. I don't want to go in there and fight the crowds anyway.
I renewed my licence 6 weeks ago - it took 2 visits, a week apart and I got a 5 year plastic licence.
Yep. They are prioritizing the new renewals and making the people who did it last year wait for a loooooong time. Problem I see is, I have a written appointment for August 30 but now they are introducing online appointments, anyone want to bet that someone will book online and it will conflict with the written down appointments they handed out? F'idiots.
Nope, arrived both times at 7.45am, pretty much 1st thru the door and out in less than 45mins. The place gets really full very quickly though
For those that not bothered about a little wait (About an hour. maybe less if you are lucky) Both the Main LTO and Robinsons are now Open Saturday morning (8am till 12.00 for Plastic 5 years licences only. It is on a First come first served basis and is quite orderly. We arrived at Robinsons at 8.10am This Morning and both filled in a form, gave this and the OR to the Desk and sat. When our turn came we went to the machine Operator (The Forms were numbered and put out in a Line for the machine Operator after a detail check by the Enumerator . The Details on the Form were checked against what was on File Already and "Bob's yer Uncle" at 950 we walked out with our Plastic cards.
