I should have asked this question 9 years ago. After washing my shirts, they are hung outside in the sun on a clothes line to dry. The problem is the weight of the wetness stretches my shirts almost to my knees. I can’t lay them on a towel on the ground or a bush because of insects. Has anyone came up with a solution?
The only Solution Pat my friend is to have a washing Machine that spins at high Revs, I guess we all get the problem when clothes are Hand Washed, I caught one of our girls wringing out Clothes so much that that is another problem Our Grannies did a good job with the old Mangle, Maybe a stand alone Spinner would be a good Idea
I got tired of our helper hanging our clothes out to "dry", then the rains would come and not very long after, our clothes smelled terribly of mold/mildew. I was told "just have her use more fabric softener to hide the smell." Then was the stretching problem of our shirts and hard, scratchy towels. I couldn't take it anymore and started using a cleaners with on-site washers and dryers. My clothes smelled good, and, weren't stretched or scratchy any longer.
