    hi...
    currently, i'm looking for a calcium supplement that has calcium with high bioavailability. i know JB marketing carries Nature Made brand supplements but i read the Nature Made Calcium Magnesium Zinc Tablets with Vitamin D uses calcium carbonate which isn't a very optimal source of calcium < Understanding Calcium: The Best Forms of Calcium Supplements >

    which got me to searching more and i found that calcium citrate malate is "slightly more bioavailable" than other forms of calcium supplementation. i dunno about all that, it's beyond me but i'm wondering if any group members have found a source of quality nutritional supplements in the duma area.

    calcium tabs , would be so much cheaper, than cheese, milk yoghurt for sure

    There is A travel agency in the back of Ever Mall on the left side past a dentist, She has a lot of supplement's mostly from Canada. Àlso very fair prices you may find it there

    i much prefer to get my nutrients from real food. we grow a salad garden and i focus on nutrient dense foods and foods with high levels of calcium but, apparently, i need more input so i do some supplementation..

    i couldn't find anyplace selling supplements in ever mall and i also went to generika and zeroed out.

    i DID find calcium tablets at JB marketing made from Calcium Citrate.
    i've been taking them for a couple of weeks now and haven't noticed any changes in my nails but maybe i need more time?

    Calcium Citrate
    Differing from the alkaline qualities of calcium carbonate, calcium citrate has an acidic base. This acidity requires less production of natural stomach acids, allowing this type of calcium to be better absorbed than the carbonate form. It does, however, have less elemental calcium concentration (20%), and again, low bioavailability.

    i also checked with Healthy Options in cebú for calcium supplements with Calcium Citrate Malate or Calcium Orotate. (nada).

    anyway... thanks for the responses guys...

    I'm looking for quality supplements, too. I am familiar with Nature Made and would be satisfied with that brand.

    May I ask where JB marketing is? (Please be specific as possible....I know it's all but impossible to do given Dumaguete idosyncrasies, but if you can narrow it to a specific block, maybe?)

    There is a nutrients and vitamin supplements booth/ outlet in City Mall in front of the SaveMore Supermarket than is selling Calcium tablets I noticed today but not sure if they're the type your looking for
