Does anyone here do the LOTTO and, if so, noticed how recently many competitions have had the jackpot suddenly reduced, even though NO WINNER has been declared:

For example, on the 29th May the 6/42 Jackpot Prize was Php 19,845,521.00 with "No Winner" - but for the next draw on the 31st, the Jackpot is shown as Php 5,940,000.00. I have seen the Jackpot go much higher than this, so it is not due to it reaching its maximum.

    Also:
    6/45 May 11th Jackpot Prize: Php 49,357,401.00
No Winner .... next draw (May 13th) Jackpot Prize: Php 8,910,000.00 (which it then stayed at until May 21st even though I thought prizes increment each draw)
6/55 May 19th draw Jackpot Prize: Php 126,181,744.00
No Winner .... next draw (May 21st) Jackpot Prize: Php 29,700,000.00.

These examples are over just a THREE WEEK period!

One possibility is that the Jackpots were won but incompetence means they were incorrectly reported (I have even noticed draw results incorrectly shown in the past, where the results of two different Lottos were swapped around).

This issue of the Jackpot reducing without a winner has been occurring a lot recently. Maybe it is just incompetence but this is a NATIONAL scheme and surely (???) then can get that right.

Foreigners are allowed to play the lottery? God forbid you win and turn in your ticket at your local branch to let everyone know you now have a lot more disposable income. I can hear it now: "d*mn long nose taking our lottery! Someone should do something about that."

Go to collect then get shot.

I have developed a win-win strategy for that: I am insured against getting shot collecting LOTTO winnings. If I die as a result of the shooting, I get a free car. You have to have an edge.

Anyway, I send the wife for anything over P100.

You might want to check the PCSO website for results as they seem to run many of the lotteries and their results differ from your observations above.

    Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office

It shows 2 winners on 5/13 for the Mega Lotto.

    Megalotto 6/45 11-13-33-30-39-36 5/7/2018 42,499,746.00 0

    Megalotto 6/45 36-45-12-21-39-38 5/21/2018 10,376,602.00 0

It shows 2 winners on 5/19 for the Grand Lotto

    Grand Lotto 6/55 30-26-39-03-47-10 5/12/2018 112,241,480.00 0

    Grand Lotto 6/55 39-38-10-34-46-12 5/16/2018 120,916,304.00 0
    Grand Lotto 6/55 12-55-10-05-43-19 5/19/2018 126,181,744.00 2
    Grand Lotto 6/55 30-27-18-43-26-11 5/21/2018 29,700,000.00 0
    Grand Lotto 6/55 20-49-50-39-24-47 5/23/2018 29,700,000.00 0
    Grand Lotto 6/55 31-40-28-44-05-41 5/26/2018 29,700,000.00 0

It might be interesting to see if the winners are related to politicians. :angelic:

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) is a government-owned and controlled corporation of the Philippines under direct supervision of the Office of the President. It is mandated to do fund raising and provide funds for health programs, medical assistance and services, and charities of national character. The raised collections goes to the President's Presidential Social Fund to improve the country's social welfare.

Very odd - there was no Mega Lotto draw on the 13th May. The draw for the 14th was (copied and pasted from their website): Mega Lotto 6/45
    15-37-42-07-43-01
    In any order
    Jackpot Prize: Php 8,910,000.00
    No Winner

Anyway, it was the MEGA LOTTO (6/45) draw of the 11th May which was the higher Jackpot and that also showed no winner (again pasted from the PCSO website): MegaLotto 6/45
    24–10–28–15–25–12
    In any order
    Jackpot Prize: Php 49,357,401.00
    No Winner

I did not check the other figures you gave.

I wonder also about the transparency of the results and winners. The Jackpots can go up to Php 200 MILLION plus! The 6/58 Jackpot is in fact Php 149 MILLION today, 3rd June. A lot of money!!!

I am happy to do the Philippines Lotto because of the fact that the profits go to buy ambulances (as well as other things maybe) - however, is the money going there???

My Wyre made the point earlier about the danger of winning a big sum of money, especially if won by a foreigner - firstly, get your Filipino partner to collect it (large wins have to be collected in Manila) and simply don't tell anyone about the win.

The figures I gave are a copy and paste from the link I posted, which takes you their website. No need to verify.

There was a fat finger on the 5/13 data, if you look at my cut and paste it shows the correct date.

    Megalotto 6/45 15-37-42-07-43-01 5/14/2018 8,910,000.00 0

    Good luck!

Ok .... I think I have used a different website ( PCSO Lotto Results ) ....maybe that is not the government one, but it is very inaccurate anyway.

I have - and collected minor prizes (up to P1,600) - BUT, win a jackpot and perhaps they will find your ticket invalid because you are not a citizen. Best for major prizes to let your Filipina partner collect it.
