I don't disagree that they are member of a larger international scouting organization.

I was a Cub Scout and a Boy Scout and I do remember something being said about a foreign founder. As a cub we had den meetings after school with den mothers and they were good interesting events. As a scout we had a few camping trips. I learned how to boil water in a paper cup over a camp fire. Back then, most kids in my school were scouts but I left BSA before turning 16 because other things became more interesting like rock and roll, CYO dances and cars. It was a wholesome experience. Nobody cared if it had English roots; heck, to us the English were our friends, they spoke our language...nobody would have cared even if they thought of us as the colonies hehe.

So what does the "B" in "Scouts BSA" stand for? :o o:

Probably along the same lines as the CP in NAACP. Written but not spoken.

They can change that the same way that KFC dropped "Kentucky Fried Chicken" in the 90s. Technically the AARP does not stand for anything either. BSA may now mean absolutely nothing.

OK Dave, I get it. You really want BSA to mean “British Scouts of America”.
