New cebu to santandare ferry

I have personally witnessed with my own eyes the existence of a map in the Bacong Municipal Hall, i believe the city engineers office (i've been in half a dozen), of a map of Bacong with the outline of the airport on it. It is about one km west of national highway, paralleling the highway, reaching almost from the dumaguete boundary to the dauin boundary (runway runs parallel to national). I cannot guarantee it is "the" map..

If you do some research, i believe money has actually been appropriated for studies or "land acquistion." I think the "acquisition" will be used to buy lots already purchased years ago by "investors," after which a gummint agency will be stuck with lots of small lots, since i doubt enough money exists to complete the acquisition.

Anybody have any FACTS about the concept of "eminent domain" in this country. ??

If this were really going to happen, you would think we could see a pic of the real boat instead of a photoshopped model or a video off the MaxBoat Facebook site from 5 months ago. I wonder where they are getting there info?

Ah, I see: "Sugbo.ph is a collaborative effort of 14 young, passionate bloggers of Cebu." So just a bunch of kids searching the web and blogging about it to try and make a peso. Good for them.

 

Anyone have any new semi accurate information by Philippine standards even on this? Looking to go to Cebu City soon and would rather do a fast ferry from Sibulan to Cebu City even if it means a ferry switch somewhere. Asked at Sibulan port today and just got blank looks, crazy foreigner of course right?

Trip late june to Cebu for me was still OceanJet duma to cebu via tagbilaran mid morning, except now you gotta SWITCH boats in tag, arrive mid pm.... Other way is leave Cebu early. Not familiar with Sib or Sant sched's...

Discovered a great overnight, Adelfa Hotel two blocks from the old Chong Hua hospital, very clean, quiet, about 1000 pesos w/ private bath ...

 

Wife and I went on the overnight ferry from Duma-Cebu. Went business class lol. (Cokaliong) Cost P1100. Won't recommend it.

 

Cebu Pacific sells one 45 min flight from Duma to Cebu on certain weekday eve for about 1589 peso and return early morning for same price... about the same as the Jet boat ...
