Hello All..... I have been a member for years and really appreciate this site. My wife wants to locate closer to family ( Bohol ) . We bought a lot that I think is like 3400 sq.mtr. close to Valencia..... It is mainly a view property overlooking part of Dumaguete and the Ocean. Water and power run right next to property. Easy hookup. Wrye rode his motorcycle up there and took some pics , Aug 14,2015. We had the property titled well over 5 years ago and had a barbed wire / concrete post fence put in around the perimeter... Also has a large gate.... How does one get valuation for this and what are the best places to post it??? We will be coming back for a couple months this coming October. Thanks all and best wishes from Washington State
Your 2 questions pose 100 possible answers, but a couple answers come to mind right away. Advertise it on the same medium where you originally found it. Price it the same as you paid (add for updates, fence etc) as prices are still competitive with a few years ago. DaveyL (DI member) would have many good idea;s as he does this often. Reach out to him. Good luck in Bohol.... We are moving there next year, cya for a beer. Gerry
Thanks Gerry, I did some more checking and we actually purchased the property ( 3146 sq. mtrs. ) in August 2010 . We actually found a lady in the vicinity ( Valencia ) who helps out expats locate properties and houses and assists with the closing and other paperworks. After that we had the property titled and fenced it....Dumaguete and Valencia has grown considerably since we purchased .... we were back a couple years ago.
Hi, I would recommend PhilX. They value and sell property for a lot of people locally and they work on a commission only basis. They can value your property and most likely sell it for you too if you are so inclined given their knowledge of the area and of what has actually sold. They may even know of someone who is ready to move on it straight away too. Their website is: https://philippine-islandproperties.com
I don't really know much about the property market as I am keen on just renting, but would it be possible to split your large plot and would that enable it to sell more easily? You could, of course, keep both options open (one lot or more than one lot).
I used atty. Mike Miguel to sell my house/lot. That was a win-win for me since he is an attorney who also sells properties. He made sure all of the paperwork was in order and put my mind at ease.
Since moving back to Oklahoma, I no longer have his contact info, but I did find this, hope it helps:
