You don't really need a lawyer to apply for a 13A visa. This is something you could handle on your own at immigration. I would recommend you try to obtain a visa before you travel by going to the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh.

Only guessing here but were they saying recovering from a surgery isn't a "disability". Technically, it sounds more like an "injury" that is in the process of healing. Silly, I know, but that's how I could see them interpreting the rules in the very literal manner they tend to do it in.

You are "allowed" to...but it would almost certainly be a pointless endeavor. I would recommend letting it slide and keeping your head low. It's just not worth the trouble.

What is supposed to happen and what actually happens are two very different things. Yes, you should be able to appeal a deportation order. However, you will likely be sitting in the immigration detention center in Manila for a very long time while the judicial process moves at a snails pace. Not a place you want to be. Personally, I would opt to self deport and try to appeal the deportation/charges from my home country through the Philippine Embassy if I wanted to return. (Which I wouldn't want to do if someone was pulling strings to have me deported. If that happened that means I had upset the wrong person and returning would likely make them even more upset and may result in them finding a more "permanent" solution to having me removed from the Philippines.)

Is there something specific you are concerned about being deported over?

Oh wow, so sweat of you to call me "dear", habibi. :hilarious:

I wouldn't really worry much about some of the stuff you see on YouTube. People tend to not give the entire story in an effort to make themselves look like the victim. Many leave out that all of their visa/visit requirements were not met (such as trying to get a Balikbayan visa without their wife being present when they go through the airport or not having an exit ticket for tourist visas) or that they were the one that initiated the rude behavior.

The visitor visa they are likely talking about is not a "permanent" visa. Hard to tell but they may also be talking about a Balikbayan visa. That is also not a permanent visa. You should be specifying you are wanting to get a permanent visa and asking them for the requirements for a 13A visa.

Foreigners are always strangers here. There is a very large difference between what foreigners can do compared to what native Filipinos can do. You'll get used to it.

Not all banks require an ACR card to open an account. I believe RCBC Savings is one that doesn't have that requirement. You won't ever be allowed to own property, that's just something you'll have to learn to accept.

Yeah, it's best to not try to get a visa through bibery. There are "fake" stamps out there that can land you in quite a bit of trouble when you try to exit.

They are quite the racist lot in the Philippines. You won't ever be seen as equal. Gotta learn to accept that or you will be miserable. As far as ease of visas go; the Philippines is one of the more friendly SEA countries to stay in long term, both as a tourist (up to 3 years) and though one of their "permanent" visas.

It sounds like a visitor visa is the best and cheapest option for you right now since you are only visiting once per year. Once you are able to retire you can focus on getting the appropriate permanent 13A visa.
