I don't believe there is a 1 year visitor (tourist) visa option. The Balikbayan "visa" (it's a privilege not a visa) is the only one that extends out to a year but your wife would have to enter the country and go through immigration with you.

The only real benefit of getting a longer visitor visa from the start is that it will save you the hassle of needing to renew every 2 months. The price will be almost, or exactly, the same. (Not sure how the express lane fees work out of you pay upfront for a 6 month visa in Manila.)

If you are only staying a few months at a time each year there is no point in paying for the longer visas. You would only be wasting your money.

 

Just out of curiosity, have you ever served in the military? There is a special retirement visa for people who have served in the military. You would need to be 50 years of age before you could apply for that one.

There are other retirement visas you could obtain at a younger age but you would need to have $50k (USD) to "invest" in the Philippines and a pension/income around $1k USD per month if you were under the age of 50. The "investment" obligation lowers if you are older than 50.

This family of permanent retirement visas are called SRRV. You can use the search feature on this forum to find posts and read about that.

Those visa prices are a great deal. I've never gotten away with paying so little to stay in the Philippines long term. And that multiple entry stuff...even better. Maybe the Philippines has some special agreement with your country for visas. I'd be a bit surprised by that considering Saudi is one of the most restrictive countries in the world when it comes to immigration. It's certainly not a reciprocity agreement. Or maybe this is the new visa pricing scheme for all/most countries now. (Would be surprised as I don't recall it being mentioned here before and that would be a pretty big change that I think people would be excited about.)

The only thing I could really recommend would be to get the visa that best fits your travel. If you stay for 3 months get a 3 month visa. If you plan on visiting multiple times per year (with those visits being longer than 30 days each visit) get the 6 month or 1 year multiple entry visa. Don't pay for something you aren't going to use.

You lost me here. Dual citizenship is a completely different conversation. It has nothing to do with a non-immigrant visa to the Philippines.
