Of all the times I have been to the sand bar I can say I have only walked on it once! Unless you go on a spring tide it is always covered.
I've walked on it, but for the life of me I cannot figure out what exactly is so special about it. Maybe this is the 7107th island. A bit of sand in the water, WOW! Larry
Seems to get a lot of adverse ratings on tripadviser, in general very bad customer service seems to be a theme,& a restaurant that cant even cook breakfast....
good luck on that, there are like 2 hotels here, sometimes we rent out our cottage that sits over the sea facing cebu and the sandbar, but it usually only for days, it needs some work and furniture for overnight stays.. direct sea access
Hi, are there alternative places to stay in Bais? I am going with my family for dolphin watching and sandbar.
There are plenty of hotels in and around Dumaguete that are nice to stay at and can arrange for your whale/dolphin tour. They will provide transportation to and from and some also offer a lunch as part of the price. When you email the hotel inquire, you might be pleasantly surprised.
There is another pension house type place behind the new market, not really 'touristy', choice of fan or aircon, not up to much though but cheap.
