Anyone know who is doing the development of ocean property and condos in Nagbo-alao, Basay? Is another resort going in on the cliffs? There is a place with lots of flowers called Nipa Hut Lamb. Is it a resort? What's the scoop? Is this the next big hot spot for Negros tourism?

I think Basay is too far away from any major airport to be "the next big thing". I'm sure tourism will increase but it will likely never be a major tourist destination.

Hahaha.. glad you are not my investment advisor. The place is quickly developing from Bayawan to the Occidental border. And just so you know there is an airstrip that would handle 727's. I say was because since they shut down the mining there it has been abandoned and fallen into disarray. But you can expect in the future CebuP and PhilAir will be there. The area is starting to boom.

There is a big time resort being developed on the Cliffs of Nagbo Alao named Satori Cliffs near to Nipa Hut Lamb but Nipa Hut Lamb is privately owned resident of a Foreigner and his wife. Though I have heard rumors that it might become luxury condos with a marina. A couple of kilometers beyond that is a great little resort with pristine beaches called Funtasea. Several small local resorts along the cliffs have popped up too.

Is it a hot spot for Negros tourism. Simple answer "Yes".

I have to say your opinion doesn't seem to be unbiased. You aren't selling property are you?

No. Basay is too far away from civilization. There are better and more accessible resorts near Dumaguete City. If you construct a resort there, I wonder if anyone would want to go there for any reason. It is a no man's land----very high up there in the mountain, too far from civilization.

The answer is a big NO----the place is too far from civilization.
