    OK so having had a Tech up from my equipment supplier we have the Solution to my specific problem,
    :smuggrin: Send the daughter back to Uni in cebu Seems that since she has been home on a weeks vacation the system is picking up mumbo jumbo as we share a PLDT Ultera Wifi Modem Funny though it, only affects my desktop and not here laptop. Things have settled down now so I will say no more so I don't attract spookies :whistling:

    I get the same issue, but I only get it for Google Search. I fixed that by clearing the URL field and typing in https://duckduckgo.com/ instead. I then set the browser default search engine and I haven't looked back. Most of the time I forget that I'm not using Google and I haven't had the need to use Google for a search since.

    That doesn't help for verification issues though. I'll see if I can reproduce the issue when I get back home. I'm guessing it's just the Philippines crap connection. I don't know why, but the Philippines sometimes has problems with Google based services. For example, there are times where I can't access Youtube for weeks at a time without proxying through an international connection.

    As @Wrye83 mentioned, a VPN can come in handy with these sorts of problems. Mozilla recently announced that it's going to offer subscriptions to ProtonVPN, so that's probably a trustworthy service. You might check them out to see if they offer a free trial. If they do, then setup an account and switch your verification addresses and other critical items away from Google. I don't have a problem with Google, it just seems that the ISP's here do at times.

    I went back to Mozilla Firefox v.56 after experiencing problems with the latest update for my Torrent downloads which I cannot access the download step to their pages to anymore.

    I have also tried using an old Browser I use to use on Vista - "Crazy Browser" which still works but experiences the sane Captcha issues, as well as Google Chrome which works better than Mozilla most of the time which quiet often experiences the same problem, I then tried Google Chrome Canary (which is suppose to fix this issue according to Google Techs but still suffer the same fate) and as a final attempt I switched over to Internet Explorer.

    All end up with the same results when I (99% of the time) try searching using Google so I have reverted for now to using Yahoo's Search Engine for my Daughter's Homework.

    I have also reinstalled the latest Java and Shockwave Flash Software in an attempt to get the images to load but constantly fail the first step of proving I am not a Robot, following with the second step stating I have unusual Traffic coming from my PC via my IP Address.

    I could live with the hit and miss search attempts, however my main issue is I have two Facebook Profiles which need to be verified so I can access them, and a part of that is Google's Captcha interface, (they must now be bed partners in some way) and the images just plain refuse to load for me to verify them so I am stuck in limbo with them active awaiting verification, but unable to access them.

    I have used Microsoft's Scanners as well as Spybot Search & Destroy (Advanced) and Trend Micro's Online Scan, all come up clean.
    For the most now I will use another search engine and Google can go &$*% themselves in the foot!

    I asked my sister in Australia to try and verify my two Facebook Accounts for me. She got to the Robot part and passed that, then got to the images, and after a long while clicking her way through it said she failed, then asked for a Phone Number (which I did NOT supply when I signed up) but the Captcha insisted on a Phone Number to continue the steps. So; I gave her my phone number to put in, she did so, I received the code, I sent her the code, she put the code in, and the very next step told her she had made too many attempts, so basically they shut her down and told her to try again later. We have let it go 2 or 3 days between attempts but each time she is met with the same response that she has made too many attempts and to try again later.

    This is not a problem for most, but wait until your ISP starts sending strange requests and the two bed partners (Facebook and Google) take note then lock you out of your Facebook account with this Captcha BS, meaning you cannot even open it to save all your uploaded pictures etc to put to the next new Facebook profile you manage to successfully open. It appears thousands are experiencing this Captcha problem right now losing their large Facebook Groups messing up online Businesses etc and there is no way to contact either Google or Facebook to alert them that their Captcha is NOT working!

    Next time I am in the City I will go to an Internet Cafe and try and recover my Accounts there. Meanwhile; if Fil-Products do not/or unable to change my IP to another IP Address, or offer some kind of solution, I will have to weigh up my options and try and look for another Provider. Yay! :depressed:

    I have added Duckgo to my search engine list, thanks for that. I will also try and look into a VPN IF there is no other solution as I believe they slow down your browsing, and since this problem arose, it takes between 3 to 5 attempts to open the DI Forum page, horribly SLOW! Things are spiraling downhill in the past few weeks at a great rate of knots regards a good/quality service.

    I suspect now that Fil-Products are well on the road to over-subscription so I feel I will be kissing goodbye to what was an excellent service and joining the masses here with CRAP Internet service. :frown: If it doesn't pick up I will join the queue of those bagging out the Internet here in the Philippines, and at this stage would HIGHLY ADVISE anyone thinking of subscribing to Fil-Products to seriously reconsider that move and disregard all my past praising of this Company and their Internet service. Let's see if they can find a fix with this IP problem first... (I am STILL waiting for their Tech to appear almost 3 weeks on - NOT Holding my breath!)

    Will take your advice not to subscribe to FilProd internet. No matter what they are telling about Globe (my current ISP) when I have a problem with my connection and file a complaint, next day they are @my door to fix it i.s.o. keep me waiting for weeks.

    This has happened to me with globe and PLDT as well. It is not limited to any one ISP...they are all sh;t. Get a VPN to resolve the issue. Costs money but it is the only thing that ever resolved the issue for me. If it doesn't work cancel your free trial.

    Avoid anything "free" related to VPNs. They are crap and are used by scammers and spammers and those IP addresses are on more watch/spam lists than any Filipino IP address would be. It would be completely pointless and a waste of time to even try.

    I use Nord VPN. It works great for me and is on the cheaper side. Avoid HMA (HideMyAss), they are in the UK and have to log your traffic by law (and don't work with Netflix, Hulu or Prime). Also, a good VPN will not slow down your internet speeds by any noticable amount.

    Does Pornhub even care about your IP address? I know it will work on porn/website bans that the Philippine government puts in place.

    I noticed that earlier when I tried three Free VPN's, and after installing each one, then searching in Google, it returned the same results where my IP Address is Flagged so they did nothing.

    Basically I couldn't care less if I ditch Google as my Search Engine now as DuckDuckGo seems to work just fine as does Yahoo Search (GOODBYE GOOGLE!) It is mainly the problem I am having with Facebook, and I do not think a VPN will fix this Captcha problem within Facebook.

    The strange thing now is; I just tried again and I can search in Google without facing a Captcha in all Browsers, yet open the two Facebook Profiles I created recently, and I instantly hit a wall where I have to verify using the Captcha. I then get prompted to send a Code to my Mobile, which I receive, then put in, only to be told it looks like I am misusing their service with too many tries (after trying only the one time) and have to try again later... (I think it is best just to kiss goodbye to those Profiles to save my own sanity...)

    I am posting the following article for anyone else here who is experiencing this problem in the hope it may shed some light on the issue for them also, and in the meantime I will get back onto Fil-Products and try and push for them to assign me with a Static IP or remove the current IP Address (which I suspect is shared with the problem User causing me this grief) and connect me to another IP Address to try and get away from being flagged as a Robot all the time.
    NB: It is mentioned below (in the following article) to disable a VPN to fix the (maybe) problem...

    [FAQ] “Unusual traffic” blocks searching or requires CAPTCHA

    Please understand that this is a public user-to-user forum. While there’s nothing we can do here to fix the issue, the Help Center article and the following notes will explain what to look for when troubleshooting.

    The “Unusual traffic” page appears when Google automatically detects requests coming from your computer network which appear to be in violation of the Terms of Service. The block will expire shortly after those requests stop. Sometimes you may be shown a CAPTCHA image — solving it will let you continue to use Google services.

    What Google considers automated traffic:
    • Sending searches from a robot, computer program, automated service, or search scraper
    • Using software that sends searches to Google to see how a website or webpage ranks on Google
    • Using an app, program or script to perform a large number of searches in a short time

    This traffic may have been sent intentionally using a browser plug-in or a script/program that sends automated requests, or by malicious software,. If you share your network connection, ask your network administrator for help — a different computer using the same IP address may be responsible.

    Sometimes the “Unusual traffic” message can be triggered if you are using advanced terms that robots are known to use, or sending requests very quickly.

    Read through these notes, which give a bit more detail about what to look for:

    The issue is related to the network you’re connected to, not necessarily the single computer or phone you're using to search. Google is simply seeing a large volume of traffic coming from a single IP address.

    If your computer or phone is free of malware and you aren't engaged in high volume search activity, another computer or phone connected through the same network might be to blame. Even a large number of devices on a network using Google Search at the same time could trigger the message.

    What Google sees as a “network” (i.e., a single IP address) could be anything from a single device to a large network such as a VPN or proxy server. Google has no way of knowing how many devices are sharing the same public IP address.

    Because the number of global IPv4 addresses is virtually exhausted, many Internet Service Providers assign the same IP address for a number of customers, using their own equipment to keep track of each customer's internet traffic (much like your home modem/router keeps track of traffic for each device connected to it).

    You need to report the issue to your "network administrator". This could be the person who looks after your home or work network, the organization whose public network you're connected to, or the company who provides your home or work internet connection (your "ISP").

    A “network administrator” is in a position to investigate the cause of such issues and take appropriate action, such as tracking the issue back to a single computer, or switching your connection to a different IP address.

    If you’re using a home internet connection and your internet service provider allocates your IP address dynamically, the solution might be as simple as rebooting your modem to get a different IP address.

    Blocking could be related to usage of a VPN browser plugin, or program. Try disabling the VPN and see if that helps. When the abuse hitting Google's network stops, Google automatically stops blocking the IP(s)/ISP(s) that were sending the bad traffic.

    In short, if you're satisfied you've done everything within your control to ensure that the unusual traffic doesn't originate within your own device(s) or network, the next step is to contact your Internet Service Provider.

    Additional notes for Network Administrators

    A CAPTCHA may appear for network users when Google automatically detects requests coming from a computer network which appear to be in violation of the Terms of Service. The block will expire shortly after those requests stop. In the meantime, solving the CAPTCHA will let a user continue to use Google services by setting a browser cookie (if a user continues to receive the CAPTCHA page, clearing cookies may help).

    Sometimes users may be asked to solve the CAPTCHA if they are using advanced terms that robots are known to use, or sending requests very quickly.

    Use of VPN programs or plug-ins may also be to blame.

    It is suggested that you check that proxy servers or group policies have not been set to re-write the google search URL using an older string. Try turning off any URL re-writing and see if this helps.

    Just one single "rogue" device on a network is sufficient to trigger the CAPTCHA for the whole network, so you'll need to monitor the network traffic to identify which device may be the source of the unusual traffic. Of particular concern would be privately owned devices, if they are permitted to connect to the network, but whose software is not managed by the network administrator.

    Google will provide no assistance for individual cases, so there's nothing further we can do to help through this user to user forum.
