    That is about right, 10 php/ kWh in Dumaguete. FYI, about 12 php is Siquijor due to use of fuel oil power generation. Here we are largely geothermal. Anyway, on the documentation you will see that the actual cost of the electricity if 5php but many other charges like transmission costs, missionary charges etc. etc., various taxes and the like all add up to another 5 php giving us 10 php.

    When i came here it was over 11php kwh but noreco seem to be paying their bills on time now and getting some sort discount.

    Well, they are a co-op so it might be true that they are passing on the savings. It seems like many of these electric companies are co-ops. So is PROSIELCO. I think MERELCO in Manila is controlled by a private family however; I doubt if they would pass on savings to the Customers. But no matter how you look at, prices for electric power are pretty uniform, like +\- 1 Peso. But with both NORECO and PROSIELCO they give you a nice certificate that looks like a college degree that you can hang on the wall.
