Chickens and Pigs wiped out

Recently in my neck of the woods (Amlan), most of the chickens both native and introduced all up and died, and the pigs too (double dead, beware).
Just died, all of them, its not the 1st time its happened, it has happened several times before, no warning they just check out, have asked the wife several times, if anyone has any idea and she just shrugs her shoulders, the local LGU couldnt give a fuxx, thought the least they would do is take a sample of a liver or two or a few lungs, bit of blood, send it off and get some idea of the culprit, what ever it is surely it will mutate and jump (or the locals are immune without knowing it).

It happened to our chickens about 2 years ago, up above Valencia. I think a virus spread by the native chickens. They didn't seem so much affected.

 

here all the chickens died, native and introduced hybrid (disease free), all brown bread and all the pigs are dead too

 

Just a thought, have they checked the water source? There have been concerns of late

 

not a snowballs its water, all the native chickens died too, its just like someone hit a switch, most of the native chickens well those that didnt fall are still caught in the branches of some trees.
this has happened several times since I arrived here 10 years ago, and not one single test was ever done, just a shrug of the shoulders

 

Scary

 

You can be sure that even without knowing if they are diseased that they are still sold as meat. That's the scary part.

That anyone raising chickins in this area can expect a complete and sudden die off. its airborn. if you do some searching, you will probably find neibors who lost their birds lately too. one day, you wil have one get sick one die, within a week or two, they will all be dead.

a few yearss later, it comes around again.
