    I did a search for this and found stuff from over 5 years ago, but nothing recent. We did a trip to cebu for a good microscopic surg at UC med for consult, and resulting mri and xray.

    Now the problem is that an operation requires 4 days in hospital with general, needing a family member on site, but with our puppy (see pic), it is very difficult logistics wise at this time. SOOO, we would like to find an microscopic ortho surgeon HERE. Any recommendations with recent experience. ?????

    I am not sure they are doing arthroscopic knee surgeries in Duma, but you could inquire with Dr. Danilo Olegario to see if he does them there. Arthroscopic surgery is very common, I would imagine he may possibly be doing them there. Your only option, if it isn't done there, may be to find someone to care for your pup while you are in Cebu.

    Dr. Danilo Olegario, Silliman Hospital, is an orthopedic surgeon and instructor at their medical school. His wife runs their physical therapy department.

    Dr Katada, SUMC, Dr San Juan, Chung Hua Cebu, both good, had experience of both, unfortunately.

    Left wrist rebuild after accident, plate & screws, daughter's Juvenile Idiopathic Scoliosis successful consultation & subsequent treatment, (fellow Rotary Club member many years ago).

    Friend went to Dr Katada couple years ago for shoulder pain. Doc said, "..just bursitis, no problem, we all get old." He missed the torn tendon and the bone spur, found in MRI in Maayo. Checking out Dr Oligario next....

    Heard that their are two working MRI machines in Dumaguete, one at SUMC and one at Provincial, so you should check the story that "there are no working mri machines in dumaguete" very carefully by GOING TO the above places and asking....

    Like the SUMC lab that said, "Sorry, PSA blood test out of stock," and one week later, voila, back in stock.... miracles happen...
