Just curious if anyone has received their letter from the FMP stating what their service connected disabilities are? If you need to go to those hospitals that the VA has an understanding with you will need to show the letter so you don't have to pay up front as the hospital will file the claim for you and cover all the costs.
Glad I found this topic thread good info...Retired Army here and newbie to the forum, I'm looking for my move to Duma and wanted to know "was ist los" with the VA Medical progam there. Thank you for the information I see I'd better get all my ducks in order back here in the states before the move. Looking forward to future forum reading and contributions. Aloha!
Check the tricare web site. You can use tricare at Holy Child Hospital and Silliman University Medical Center. Another option for retired military.
Disabled US Veterans living overseas got screwed for sure. But I been doing a bit of digging around and I find many ways that we can work to reform the system and bring about meaningful change. Overseas US Veterans should have the same rights and benefits as Veterans living in the US. And we can do this thing if we stick together and work as a team. We will never fix anything working alone. Anyway... I just a new google talk group for disabled US Veterans living overseas. I suggest all US Veterans reading my words should join this group. But don't use your real name... keep your identity secret. Go to: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/va-foreign-medical-program Sign up with a phony name and spread the word to other disabled US veterans.
Why the concern about not signing up with your real name? Is there a way to "sign up" without a Google account?
You can download fax plus from the playstore on any touch screen phone thats how i fax all papers to manila or to usa.cant trust the post here
I just sent anything they needed or asked for via LBC. Checked the tracking number and knew who at the facility signed for it and when. Never had a problem, costs a little over 100P and is usually delivered in a day or two.
90% of the stuff between here and the states, we scan into PDF and email, including signatures. Virtually ALL printers have scan capability now. With my mac, the print function has been able to do this for over a decade, i think ms has some free downloads. Realized that if you only have a phone, not a computer or printer, this doesn't apply. You can always just take a picture, locals do it all the time and i'm learning it's convenient.
