I parked under the Lee super plaza yesterday and the guy who validated the shopping receipt switched pen so that no mark would come on the receipt, and then when I went to drive out the guard at the entrance said that's 50 pesos because the receipt was not validated, even though it says 3 hours free parking with receipt. Bunch of cons? He did say Merry Christmas!
I was not there so cannot say what happened - but it is a very big risk to take for 50 pesos and I wonder if it was a genuine mistake. I am astonished here by the great honesty of store staff - even though part of it is down to the severe repercussions for them if they are not. Many countries have lost that aspect of life and may never regain it.
No it wasn't a genuine mistake. Its only 50 pesos but the car-park entrance guard was quick to ask for it as if he already knew the purchase receipt was not ticked off.
If this happens again; shut off the car, lock it and go back to get your receipt validated. Let us know how that works out. I think the guards will have a sh*t.
I thought of that too but I had a wife waiting outside with a baby and she wasn't happy because the car-park was full of exhaust fumes. It was easier to pay the 50 pesos. Next time we will go to Robinsons Mall, even though Robinsons has less selection.. back to topic
I gave you the 'winner' for so deftly bringing this thread reluctantly back on topic (even if kicking and screaming). We should try that in future, to see who can bring a thread back on topic with the minimum number of words. Btw, I have just taken it back off-topic!
