Hi not being morbid just asking costs and availability of not leaving a mess for loved one. I have my own scheme prepaid here but stops at the Thai border.
As a member of Angeles RSL i see reports that some folks do not put their affairs in order. Age has little to do with the issue and as a long term survivor i believe in being prepared.
Thailand is a Buddhist country and Cremations are the way to go.
My limited experience of P.I is that being a Catholic country perhaps that is not the first choice.
Me i do not give a Romeo Alpha when I go Tango Uniform my Family though may have other views TTFN

I like that you want to leave a mess for your beloved ones. Not everybody is thinking like that. Hats off.

They do cremations here. You would have to check at the mortuaries or the big cemetary in Dumaguete for the cost. A couple foreigners had it done.

This was the subject of a recent thread and two places were mentioned: 1). A Chinese Crematorium near Freedom Park - BUT the cremation has to be within 24 hours of death.
    2) The Haven Crematory in San Jose Ext.

24 hours seems quick here if a westerner dies they always send the body for an autopsy
Thai Cremations can last up to a week and every sits round and eats and drinks a bit like a Irish wake

Cremation is indeed an option, even there in Dumaguete, I believe. Check St. Peter's Plan for cremation: https://www.stpeter.com.ph/cremation
My husband did not want cremation, so we had the St. Peter's Plan prepaid traditional burial policy. It is very costly and you still must buy a plot (again, can be costly, depending on which cemetery you choose). We had several days of a wake for him at the chapel, I had to entertain and provide food for guests the entire time. I was frowned on when I would go home at night to rest (you mean you are going to leave him here alone???!)

If I read it correctly, the site says: "St. Peter Cremation Plans are only available in Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao and Bacolod City."

That is possible. St. Peter's Plan is what we had for the burial plan in Dumaguete. I guess you could call them and see if they cover cremations in Dumaguete. There are other crematories in Dumaguete, however, and they might have some sort of pre-paid plans available.
