    I have heard traffic in Bacolod is better than Dumaguete, but that's just hearsay.

    With that said, I find that traffic in Bacolod compared to where I live near Washington DC is not any worse.. if anything it's slightly better since it actually moves, albeit slowly, but it does move.
    There have only been a few times that I have seen traffic to the extent that it wasn't moving, but usually that's during the holiday weekends. Like I said though, I don't stay in the City at all. We stay a bit outside in the province where the air is fresh and life is peaceful! Can't wait to move there.

    From the sounds of things you are in the Murcia area. You will need to go to Bacolod frequently, especially for medical. They are planning a new mall in Murcia from what I have heard along the lines of the Venice outside of Manila, that should really help traffic a lot since the roads are also a main through fare for the sugarcane trucks.

    You also might want to begin following CENECO on their Facebook page. That is the power company you will be dealing with. You won't get as much advance warning about scheduled brownouts as you do here, but there will be many. And when they say it is going off at a certain time, it goes off. When they post the time it will be restored you better add some time to it, they hardly ever restore when they say they will.

    I lived there for 9 years. You want information on certain aspects I can give it, I experienced it first hand when I was playing golf. Now that I no longer play, personal choice, Dumaguete is far better for me.

    Im going to be outside of murcia closer to mambukal resort. I am well aware of the brownout issue. It is so common that I expect it more often than not! No issue with me because I like to unplug and be outdoors. You are right about going to bacolod for medical visits. Hopefully Murcia will become a city someday as that would really help!
