Slightly off topic (unusual for me! lol) .... but what 'local' fish do you anglers think best suit Western tastes (to eat, I mean)?

I like nearly all kind of fish, the fish I eat most is tuna and Marlin. You slice a steak 200-400 g your size, 2 min each side and no bones, easy and delicious

Dorado is a good white flaky fish and its one of the cheaper ones. Other names are dolphin head or mahi mahi.
Usually around p180 kg. Buy the whole fish and get it skinned and filleted. Good for fish and chips

Spanish mackerel or Tanique in Filipino language is good for eating to, I been out fishing in Santa Catalina after Dorado, no luck and on the way back I troll with 52 g Rapala wobbler and catch 112 cm Tanique 17218559_1862046717342747_6038148531161690053_o.jpg

Yes and I will go there again in Feb-may, last time I caught one Dorado and lost 2, my first time to catch Dorado, they give a good fight, Jovan catches live bait for me, and then I troll on the way out and when we go back again. I go fishing for pleasure and catch and release to, but good eating fish I bring home
