I live in Valencia we were on Globe before switching to PLDT Fiber for TV, Phone land line and internet all on one fiber line. The trouble we had with Globe was they would cut off our service even tho the bill was paid on time and if they cut off on a Friday night we had no service until the next week day. They did this to us 6 or more times before PLDT got the fiber up here. There were a couple of time I went to their office and threatened to disassemble their office. I also had the wife standing by with bail money. No problems with PLDT that was not taken care of over the phone, day or night 24-7. d*mn the cost just really glad to get rid of Globe.
Thanks to all for your info, no doubt I will change to PLDT, I have had some of the same problems with Globe as you mention, and customers service is not existing, it's like talking to a closed door when you go there
Well, that's the problem. Where I live there is no fiber or any other cable, I'm relying on wireless so it seems that Globe at home is the only solution take it or leave it. The good thing is, now that we have WiFi, my wife can use her smartphone to its full extend. Thanks you all for your input.
I think 'unli data' with PLDT fibr depends on how much you pay. We have 2 accounts (ours and a rental) P1699 and P1899 and both have data caps - albeit generous ones. So check the small print before you sign up.
We were just offered globe prepaid WiFi with bundled landline, which is great. But the 19GB or whatever cap is a dealbreaker because my more expensive fil-Products fiber that include cable gives me theoretical UNLI and we do watch Netflix a lot along with YouTube and Hulu. In a previous location I had globe DSL which in my opinion was the most reliable service available. The “WiMAX” (misnomered “WiFi” here, I think) from the cell towers just cannot handle the capacity. No issues with Globe at Home; uses it for email and non-streaming internet access; also to vchat with my wife daily from Talay to Denver--no problem; always brings it wherever I go and have instant wifi access as long as you have an outlet you can plug it in.
you also have the option to put your sim into a Pocket WIFI instead of plugging it in to an outlet... much more portable... you can buy one at most computer stores
