I thought they stopped offering that a long time ago. They forced me to leave that service quite some time ago.

That sounds like their wired DSL, no wireless with outdoor roof antenna. Are you sure it is not DSL?

By WiMAX I am referring to the internet service that comes off a cell tower, however on second thought I believe WiMAX is not the correct term. I am talking about the globe wireless that is received by an antenna on the roof connected to a router at the residence. Whatever that one is called, globe just started offering it where we live. They already have pldt-smart homebro here that I can see on my laptop settings. The neighbors here seem to have moved to fil-Products cable internet when it came in. It is UNLI but I wouldn’t be surprised if their actual limit is 300-600GB. We never use that amount but we do use a lot more than the globe or pldt wireless advertised limits. If anything landline is available, I would choose that over wireless.

Or, even easier, just load up the sim on your smartphone and set up a portable hotspot. This is exactly the same as pocket WiFi. Less hassle to load than the pocket WiFi for globe or smart smartbro.

Both WIMAX and LTE fit that description. WIMAX was an old globe service that was pretty great (no data caps at all). Unfortunately they ended that plan some years ago and forced everyone on it to switch to their capped LTE service.
