if here on a tourist visa for 7 months i will need ecc to leave . can't seem to find much update info on BI site . my question is where can i get ecc or is cebu or manila BI only place .
Ok thanks , some other forums state you can get at mnl airport which is not true Your here on tourist visa
Don't be fool with some forums legends, just get it done before you leave to Manila, i did mine twice in Cebu it takes half day if you are there at the opening (7am i think). Bring photocopy of your exit ticket as well.
If you do a search on this forum with ECC you will get a lot of info. This link may also help you to decide: https://www.in-philippines.com/emigration-clearance-certification-ecc-to-be-available-at-airports/
That is good to know since I have personally got my ECC at NAIA 2 times and once in Cebu... What you meant to say is: If you have been in the Philippines over 6 months you need an ECC from 6-12 months the ECC can be obtained at the airport or BI offices (not all BI offices are authorized to issue ECC so check 1st. The office in Duma is Not authorized) over 12 months you need an ECC from one of the authorized BI offices (not available at the airport) Here is a crappy video I made of exactly where to go at NAIA Terminal 3
A foreign national may apply for an ECC at least 72 hours prior to his/her departure from the Philippines. The ECC is valid for one (1) month from the date of issue, however, you may only use this once regardless of its validity. So I can get it up to 30 days before I leave ?
