I don’t know if someone posted this before, I tried searching, but couldn’t find one, but does anyone here know of someone (preferably a lady)who offers home massages? Like the for real ones, and not the happy ending ones. I find that calling massage centers who offer those services inevitably charge too much. Would appreciate recommendations. Thank you.
Just ask for the local “hilot” - plenty about, you’ll find the right one soon enough. Gratuity can range from cash, the odd kilo or two of rice, tins of food, pan de bisaya...any combo really.
Hmmm... I was told that the hilot people dealt in sprains and people suffering from scoliosis or feeling generally unwell, reason why my one experience with a hilot was really weird. He kept tapping on my ankle like a bad knock knock joke. I just wanted the regular deep tissue massage every now and then.
Generally it’s traditional for a hilot to massage/treat someone of the same gender. All to do with ‘trapped air’ I’m told. So if you are she and he was a he you have me confused...at the very least. Most she’s will do deep tissue stuff as well, as will a lot of he’s. The real issue here is if you are a he and you want a she. In the sticks that might be seen as “egat” - er, ‘irregular’ or a nudge-nudge wink-wink thing unless you can find a more ‘liberated’ hilot and are prepared to have your wife/gf ‘sit in’ to ensure no hanky panky is requested (cf forum discussions on “tampa”/“selos”/Filipinas/“tsimis”). Judging from your photo I’d hazard a wild guess that you are a “she”. In which case obtaining a female hilot-masseuse should be easy peasy. Why not book in at a resort’s Spa? Most employees will moonlight - simply take their cell. I’m sure you’ll eventually find what you want. I’m sure this is not the place to relate the story of what happened to a rather large Filipina friend when she had a Male masseuse once. Best left to the imagination. No harm was done. To either party.
Try kalinaw spa in the boulevard, i think they do home services and i never try them but my close friend told me they are good...
It all depends where you are ... can recommend Amarah Massage Clinic in Valencia 0927-686-4054 but doesn't help if you are in the heart of Dumaguete or Bacong
I live in Daro. And while there are heaps of massage clinics here that I can call in for home services, they generally charge me a “spa fee” making my bill 500-550 instead of a usual 300-380. The problem I also find with people who moonlights, is they’re not usually available in the evenings because that’s when their workplace needs them the most. And if they are, it’s only one night at a certain week because that’s their night off. I don’t really think there is anything wrong with having a male masseuse just because I’m female. I’m used to males because I lived in Cebu for a bit and they have a large blind community there that offers massage home services.
