Does anyone remember the restaurant/eatery where Ricky's grocery is now located?

Is that across from Holy Child? I thought that store has been there since forever? I guess you could ask the employees who work there.

Yes the one across Holy Child, before it became Ricky's. I remember there used to be a restaurant/eatery.

"Tita Rosa's House of Ill Repute and Greasy Spoon" perhaps? Or maybe I'm thinking of someplace else.

80's? but I was born on the 95th. I used to go to Holy Child a lot for my check ups back then. All I remember. is that while waiting for the doctor, me and my grand mother would have lunch there... I think my age range during that time was around 4-6ish..

The original Ricky's & the old Times Mercantile were of wooden construction, side by side where the new Uy Matiao's hardware store is on Perdices Street, before they burned down, (causing the death of a young girl, the owner's niece I think). Would the restaurant on Legaspi Street, have possibly have been called Manson's? I was here around that time, but never ate there, I did however eat at new Manson's, which doubled as a computer repair & coffee shop then a calendaria(spelling?) type place which was located in the new Uy Matiao building complex after it was built. (The owners are all related I believe anyway).

Yes, it was La Cavitena. My wife and I used to eat there in the 80’s when we go to to Dgte. to visit relatives.
