I had stuff notarised in the hallway across from Bureau of Immigration - Friendly staff, competent (for what I wanted) and only p300 (iirc) for a set of documents.

I have also used Nathan to have a document copied, notarized and sent back to UK by email, 40mins I was in his office and he only charged me P250, he speaks very good English as he studied in US, I would definitely recommend him for that, not sure how good he is on the more complicated issues of Phil Law?

I was ready to scream the day we went in there, the second in charge Secretary is the most inept fool I have come across to date here! After returning the forms (a half a dozen times or more) back to her to have them signed how was required (and clearly pointed out to her) the Secretary got very huffy with my wife and berated her in Bisayan (keeping one eye on me) and demanded another 500 pesos for the stuff around! The entire fiasco was completely caused by the second in charge Secretary, who kept one eye on the senior Secretary who was busy, and the Notary signer seated behind the partition, as she quickly (and sneakily) slipped the 500 pesos into a small note book on the desk, then into her pocket. My wife nearly shat herself when she saw me about to call FOUL and quickly shook her head at me for a big NO!

I would never step foot into that Office even if it was FREE after the incredibly p*ss-poor service we received, which I may add; was not the Head Secretary or Notary signer's faults. Never again!!
