I would like to know if there are any of you that live in Valencia and if you have a bad town water supply and if you have solved your problem and how. I live in West Balabag and the water supply here is a joke.

Obviously, one can't just dig a well and it's not easy to tap into some mountain pipe either. Do any of you collect rainwater from your roof and store it in a water tank? I have heard rumors that Valencia water district is by-passing Valencia and supplying Dumaguete instead. There should be an abundance of water in Valencia which originates in the mountain above. The town center itself is not progressing due to water shortages the new hotel hasn't even opened its doors since it was built 2 years ago.

Any info for solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Live in Valencia proper 5 blocks from park with no water problems at all for the year we have been here. In fact we have never paid a single water bill as we never go over our free allotment...

Why do you say one can't dig a well?

I believe the water table is quite deep in West Balabag and there is a lot of rock. My landlord was quoted around P200-300k if I remember correctly.

We live in VAL-BALUGO (beside Balabag-East).
Since some days we face water shortage not only from 7pm to 5 am, what we are used,

But now no water from 3 pm until early morning.

My Wife just complained together with the Barangay Cptn. at the Water Office in Valencia.

Got information, that now some more other Barangays have to be supplied with water in that time.

May be the one with swimming pools? :bugeye:
While we can not wash or shower after 3 and have to use our WC the Pinoy stile with the small bucket.:banghead2:

Look on the bright side of it. I found that I saved a lot of money on electricity (no more electric water heater) after switching to the Filipino bucket showers.

Also, I have to wash in a similar fashion in Afghanistan (wet - soap - rinse - GTFO!). We yell out "COMBAT SHOWER!" when someone is being a Shower Princess (see attached) and using up all the hot water.

This is another great example of why you don't want to live in Valencia. It's basically just a 3rd world war zone!

Oh my! I can see the SGM's head exploding, mass emails about General Order #1/professionalism and Article 15s + EO complaints for everyone involved! It's a different Army now.
